October 2nd is Walk to School Day

Join us Wednesday, October 2nd for National Walk to School Day.

There will be light snacks, drinks, an official finish line, and more fun as we celebrate at the front of the building before school! Not normally a walker? That’s ok, everyone can participate!

  • Walkers: Please walk from home like usual!
  • Bus Riders: Will be dropped off at a nearby church and walk the rest of the way with school staff.
  • Car Riders: We encourage you to join a walking group from McCabe Park, Richland Park or the corner of Colorado & 42nd! Just park at one of the locations, as we will have volunteers at the ready who will lead the walking groups to the school. Please arrive at a gathering location at 7:15AM to join one of those walking groups. Or come later to simply walk on your own! Parents – please do not drop off your children to walk (even with a group) – please join them in walking to school.

You can participate from any of the above-listed locations, or simply pick a spot nearby and walk the rest of the way. Once you arrive at school – have some snacks, take your kiddos picture with the panther – and send them across the finish line to get their official participation ribbon and head into school. Now let’s get some family exercise, together!
