Please plan to join us for our Back to School virtual Open House. Each teacher will host their own meeting from 6:-6:30. Special areas, such as EE, related arts, GATE, and EL, will meet from 6:30-6:45. Keep an eye out for Teams meeting links just prior to 8/24/21.

Here are some quick tips to help speed up arrival and dismissal:
|
1. Car rider arrival:
a) please pull all the way up to the car in front of you.
b) remain in your vehicle
c) listen for the whistle, as soon as it is blown, your child may exit the
vehicle
|
d) *expert tip: instead of waiting in the car rider line, park on Utah or
Wyoming and walk up to the front of the school
|
2. Car rider dismissal:
a) Put your child's name/ grade tag in your driver side window
b) please pull all the way up to the car in front of you
c) remain in your vehicle
d) *expert tip: instead of waiting in the car rider line, park on Utah or
Wyoming, walk up to the front of the school and pick up as a walker
(if you choose this option, be sure to tell the homeroom teacher that
your child is a walker)

3. Walker dismissal:
a) line up on the left side of the walk facing the school
b) when it is your turn, hold up your child's name/grade tag
c) once your child has been called, move to the right side of the front walk
and your child will meet you outside momentarily.

Are you looking for a rewarding way to be involved at Sylvan Park? The PTO needs a Home Room Parent (HRP) for each classroom. HRPs are a tradition at Sylvan Park. A parent(s) serves as a liaison between teachers, parents, and the PTO board. Please consider volunteering for this most rewarding role for your child's classroom this year!
