Sylvan Park Student Clubs 2024

Quarter 3 club sign-ups will close on Friday, January 5th or when capacity is reached (whichever comes first).

Monday: Ukulele Sprouts 🌱 Club - Sylvan Park Paideia

Grades K-2nd SPRING 2024 Ukulele Sprouts 🌱 Club - Sylvan Park Paideia (MONDAYS at 3p)

Grades K-2nd SPRING 2024  / MONDAYS at 3p, $375.00

Presented by The Nashville School of Traditional Country Music, Ukulele Sprouts Club introduces all of the fundamentals of playing stringed instruments using the best kids instrument ever - the ukulele! No previous musical experience is required.

In Ukulele Sprouts, we use traditional and original folk songs created on the uke to add essential motor skills seamlessly; we also teach by ear - no practice book necessary!

This class is an effortless way for your child to become musically fluent in a short amount of time; they soon will be able to continue with ukulele or move to other stringed instruments with ease.

Start Week: January 22nd
$375 for 15 club dates

Dates: (2nd Semester) Jan. 9, 16, 23, 30 – Feb. 6, 13, 20, 27
– Mar. 19 and 26 – Apr. 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 (27-weeks)

Who can join the club? Students in 1st - 5th Grades

Why chess?

Chess is fun and competitive, but it also offers lasting educational benefits such as enhanced problem solving and logical reasoning skills, increased attention span, improved patience and self-esteem, and there is direct correlation between chess and increased math and reading standardized test scores. It’s so much more than just a game!

3rd-5th Grade Art Club @ Sylvan Park Paideia

Thursdays, 3:05 - 4:05pm / 3rd - 5th Grade
Jan 11 - Mar 7, 2024 (9 weeks), $ 225

Young artists are invited to come imagine new places, explore various mediums, and to create fun works of art with an instructor from Little Art House Foundation.

Each week, we will read or reference a book for visual inspirations before creating a work of art. The projects will be engaging and fun for all ages.

THURSDAY’s after school for LEGO Club
Please join us THURSDAY’s after school for LEGO Club. Students will dismiss at 3:00pm and wait in a designated area for LEGO Club pick up. Pick your student up in the library at 4:30pm. Please pack an extra snack on Thursday’s for your child to enjoy during LEGO Club. Spaces are limited and we normally sell out fast so don't delay... Register NOW
