The PTO and the school put on multiple events throughout the year to build community, show off the students’ hard work, and have fun! PTO General Assembly (8/14, 10/23, 1/8, 4/16 evenings) : Join us as we discuss plans to support our school and upcoming events and projects. (Childcare provided)
Open House (8/21 evening): Ms. Goetz and your teachers will share information about back to school and the new school year. (Childcare provided)
Let’s Goet(z) Together (9/5, 1/30 morning): Informal session with our favorite principal with a brief school update and open forum to ask questions.
SPE’s Annual Grand Gathering (9/8 morning): All who are ‘grand’ in our students’ lives are invited to celebrate your Panthers.
Fall Picnic (9/25 evening): Meet other members of our community while your kids enjoy their classmates, playground, and open spaces of Richland Park. Our fall fundraising kicks off with an exciting pep rally!
Walk to School Day (10/1 morning): Walk to school (or park nearby and walk!) and join us for snacks, drinks, and fun before school!
Fun Run (10/9 school hours) : Celebrate the end of our big fall fundraising campaign and cheer on your kids as they run around the playground!
Trunk or Treat (10/30 evening): Open to the school community (including siblings), dress up, see the fun trunks and come get some candy in the back parking lot.
Holiday Lunches (various days during school hours): Join your student for lunch in the cafeteria
Grade Level Performances (various days): Our wonderful music teacher and related arts dream team work with the students for an epic show. A can’t miss event!
Diversity Night (2/12 evening): Parents/caregivers and educators are invited to discussions around diversity and inclusion. (childcare provided)
Paideia Showcase (3/5 school day): An opportunity for students to showcase their learning with grade projects.
International Night (4/8 evening): Celebrate the diversity in our school and experience the countries, cultures, and traditions found in our wonderful school community.
Sylvan Park Social and Auction (4/11 Adults only): Come mingle and enjoy some time together. Food, drinks & Silent Auction; this is a fun night!
Student Art Show (4/23 evening): A magical showcase that celebrates the boundless creativity of our young artists.
Field Day (5/8 school hours): Students get outside, be active, play games, and celebrate the end of the year.
Spring Carnival (5/15 evening): Bungee Jumping, Face-painting, Housey Bouncing, Pie-Facing, Food trucks and so much more.
