Mark your calendars for a virtual check-in with Ms. Goetz on Friday, September 24 from 8:15-8:45am. We will post a link to the meeting when we get closer to the date.
Over the last two weeks, students participated in our first school-wide seminar titled “Yoga Poses”. The ideas and values of strength, balance, control, cooperation, and unity were discussed. For the post seminar activity, students worked together to plan and create a group yoga pose. Ask your child about this interactive and engaging learning experience!
On September 17 join families from all across the Hillsboro cluster for a special night of high school football and community in the brand-new stadium at Hillsboro High School! We hope you’ll plan to come out to see our renovated campus and cheer the Burro football team on and celebrate with kids and families from Percy Priest, Julia Green, Waverly Belmont, Eakin, Sylvan Park, Glendale, Carter Lawrence, JT Moore, Rose Park, and West End! There will be games and fun specifically for the elementary and middle school families on the new flex field before the game, as well as halftime fun. Admission to the game is free for all feeder school kids – wear your school spirit t-shirt! Adults can purchase their game tickets at https://gofan.co/app/school/TN8629 (be sure to select the Sept 17 game). Festivities will begin at 6 PM, with kickoff at 7.
Starting this Wednesday, so sign up SOON! Life can be stressful and change can be challenging at any age. We’re on a mission to make sure that kids have access to healthy coping skills that can help them manage stress and emotionally self-regulate, any time and anywhere! So let’s come together this Fall for a weekly kids yoga club full of active, playful movement to reset our energy, calming breath to melt stress away, and mindful activities to practice focus and present-moment awareness. Your kids will love the yoga poses, energetic games, fitness challenges, and moments of connection. You’ll love the introduction to yoga philosophy and skills that they can access and grow their entire life.
