Internet Safety Presentation: Protecting Our Kids Online, May 2nd 6:30pm

Mark your calendars for an important event: on May 2nd, from 6:30 to 7:30 PM, we will be hosting an Internet Safety presentation in the Auditorium. This presentation is for adults only and promises to provide invaluable insights into keeping our children safe in the online world.

Led by Officer Dennis Fetting, Assistant Special Agent in Charge at Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) in Nashville, this presentation will cover a wide range of topics to give parents a comprehensive understanding of the online landscape. From the scale and scope of online threats to grooming tactics used by predators, sextortion, and data permanency, we’ll delve into the real challenges our children face online.

Here’s a glimpse of what to expect:

  • Overview of local and national HSI cases
  • Examination of top apps and what kids are doing online
  • Discussion on parental controls and effective communication with your child
  • Guidance on how to recognize and respond if your child becomes a victim of online exploitation

Special Agent Dennis M. Fetting brings a wealth of experience to this presentation, with a background in investigating human trafficking, child exploitation, and other serious crimes. His expertise will provide valuable insights and practical tips for safeguarding our children in today’s digital age.

Don’t miss this opportunity to empower yourself with knowledge and tools to protect our kids online. We look forward to seeing you there!
